Teens Against Fast Fashion

Written by TAFF Co-Founder Dylan Berkowitz

This month, the incredible ambassadors of Teens Against Fast Fashion (TAFF) have been busy making a difference in their communities. From clothing donations to educational presentations, their dedication to sustainability and social good has never been stronger. Here’s a look at what they’ve been up to!

Giving Back: Clothing Donations Across the Country

Our TAFF ambassadors have been on a mission to combat fast fashion and support those in need by donating clothes across multiple states.

Westchester, NY: Our ambassadors Hallie and Alexa collected and donated an impressive 500 pieces of clothing to help those in need. Every item donated helps keep clothes out of landfills and provides a sustainable alternative to shopping fast fashion.

Riverside County, California: Brianna, one of our ambassadors also made a huge donation of 500 pieces of clothing to Goodwill, reminding us how small actions can create a big impact!

Plainview, NY: Pearlee and Emily visited their local Mid-Island Y JCC community circle, where they donated clothes to help those in need access sustainable fashion.

Supporting Teens Affected by the LA Fires

In response to the devastating Eaton Canyon Fire that left many teenage girls in Altadena without homes, schools, or essential resources, TAFF stepped up. We launched a GoFundMe campaign to provide relief and help these teens rebuild their lives. Thanks to the help of our amazing TAFF community, we’ve already raised an outstanding $7,300! Every donation is making a real impact, helping teens recover and rebuild their futures.

Educating and Spreading Awareness

One of the biggest ways TAFF fights fast fashion is through education!

Josie’s Presentation in California: Our ambassador, Josie, took the stage at her Women in Business Club to give an informative presentation about fast fashion. She educated her peers on the harmful effects of the industry and encouraged them to get involved with TAFF.

Charlie’s Classroom Workshop in Miami: TAFF co-founder Charlie visited Lehrman Day School to teach elementary students about the effects of fast fashion. Through interactive discussions, she showed them how they can make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives.

Sustainable Swaps

In Fort Lauderdale, our amazing ambassadors Hailey and Shaina hosted a clothing swap with friends. Not only did they promote sustainable fashion, but they also had a blast making a pizza in the shape of a “T” for TAFF!

Looking Ahead

This month has been filled with incredible accomplishments, and we are so proud of our TAFF ambassadors for their dedication to sustainability and community service. As we move forward, we encourage everyone to continue donating, spreading awareness, and making conscious fashion choices.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us! Stay tuned for more updates next month. #TAFF #TeensForChange #SustainableFashion
